All schools that are financial members of NZAIMS are eligible to enter players.

Schools are required to pay the entry fee of $30.00 per player

• If registration for an activity is over subscribed then the opportunity to participate will be at the discretion of the exective committee and no further correspondence will be entered into (if unsuccessful entry fee will be refunded). Please note lowest ranked players will be balloted out first.

RULES
1) The tournament will run under New Zealand Squash Rules.
2) All players must be ranked Grade J4 or above
3) The standard tournament ball will be a single yellow dot ball
4) Protective eyewear to be worn at all times on the courts by all players.
5) Shoe soles to be made of non-marking material.

THE DRAW FOR FIRST ROUND

The draw will be handed out at the Managers Meeting on the Sunday night of the Opening Ceremony.

SWISS DRAW
• Players are seeded from top to bottom (according to their official Squash NZ grading)
• Players are listed against one another
• Whoever wins the match moves to the lower number of the two numbers and takes the lower number to the next round
• Whoever loses the match takes the higher number to the next round

MATCH PROCEDURES
• A match will be the best of five sets
• Teams must report to the venue controller 20 minutes prior to the start of each round
• All games will be played according to the www.worldsquash.org/rulescontents.html
• The playing order and umpiring order is to be strictly adhered to

REFEREES
All players must be prepared to adjudicate matches as required.

INDIVIDUAL EVENT
Boys Individual Year 7 Boys / Year 8 Boys combined division
Girls Individual Year 7 Girls / Year 8 Girls combined division

TEAMS EVENT
Boys teams Year 7 Boys / Year 8 Boys Division from singles placings (Lowest two combined results)
Girls teams

MEDAL PRESENTATION

Individual place getters will be presented with their medals at the venue. The Teams Event place getters will recieve their medals and winning cup at the official AIMS GAMES Closing Ceremonyon Friday 10th September 1.00pm at the QEYC.

RISK MANAGEMENT
The organisers will manage risk during the event’s programmed activities. This does not include transport to and from the venues, leisure activities or accommodation arrangements. Clear instruction to coaches / team managers will be given about the extent of the organizers responsibilities at the Sunday night managers meeting.

A letter of entry confirmation will be forwarded to your school by Friday 4th June 2010.
