REFEREES
Participating teams are required to provide an experienced linesperson and referee.
Should a referee be required, then there is an additional cost of $100 per day/$450 for the week.
The organising committee will appoint referees to matches.
Referees will not officiate their own team.
TALENTED PLAYERS
The organising committee will arrange for selectors to be present daily to select a Tournament Team.
These players will receive a certificate and medal indicating that they have been selected as the top 16 players from the tournament at the prize giving.
PLACINGS / SEEDINGS
Final placings from the 2009 NZCT AIMS GAMES will determine seedings for this year.
FORMAT
The NZCT AIMS GAMES National Football Tournament will be run as per NZ Football Rules. Teams will
play a round robin in four pools of seven teams with finals to decide all placings.
RULES
• Games will be 25 minute halves during pool play.
• Finals will be 30 minute halves.
• Teams to provide their own first aid kit.
• All player shirts are to be clearly numbered on the back.
• Shin pads must be worn on the field at all times.
• 11 A-side – Maximum of 16 registered players per team.
• Rolling substitutions apply.
VENUES
• Boys – Blake Park and MacVille Park, Mount Maunganui
• Girls – Blake Park, Mount Maunganui
• Boys and Girls Finals – Links Ave, Mount Maunganui (Friday)
MEDAL PRESENTATION
The top 3 placed teams in each division will be presented with their medals and winners cup at the official AIMS GAMES Closing Ceremony on Friday 10th September 1.00pm at the QEYC.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The organizers will manage risk during the event’s programmed activities. This does not include transport to and from the venues, leisure activities or accommodation arrangements. Clear instruction to coaches / team managers will be given about the extent of the organizers responsibilities at the Sunday night managers meeting and in the “Terms and Conditions of Entry”.
