ELIGIBILTY
All schools that are financial members of NZAIMS are eligible to enter
runners in the Year 7 and Year 8 Division.

REFEREE
The race committee will appoint a race referee(s),
to whom general complaints can be directed. Any race complaints must
be lodged to the race referee within 15 minutes of the completion of
the race.
MEDAL PRESENTATION
Individual and Teams Race place getters will be presented with their medals at the venue at approx. 3.30pm.
The School Championship Relay place getters will receive their medals and winning cup at the official
AIMS GAMES Closing ceremony on Friday 10th September 1.00pm at the QEYC.
INDIVIDUAL / TEAMS RACE
• Schools may enter one team only in each of
the year groups below, with a maximum of 5 runners per team.
• Runners
cannot run for other year levels.
• Schools with less than three runners
will be ineligible to claim team honours.
• For schools that enter a
team, each individual runner in that team is also eligible to claim individual
line honours.
• Three runners in a team must finish the race to be eligible
for team honours.
• For team honours – the placing of the top three runners
will be added together. Lowest team total is the winner i.e. 6th, 23rd,
29th = 58 points.

CHAMPIONSHIP SCHOOL RELAY
• Race 1 - 12km Team Relay (Year 7 and 8)
•
All teams are required to list their starting order by 10.30am on race
day.
• In all scenarios a runner must complete a minimum of one full
lap. If for some reason the runner cannot complete his / her lap, the
runner listed on the next lap must run back and tag them. They then proceed
to complete the injured runners lap before commencing their own lap(s).
• Spikes are allowed to be worn during all races. We ask that runners
keep these to a minimum length of 9mm
Race 1 - 12km Team Relay
• Year 7 and 8 combined
• Relay will consist
of 12 consecutive laps of a 1km course.
• Minimum of 6 runners per team
(minimum of 3 girls per team)
• A school may enter all 12 runners in
this race i.e. 4 age groups x 3 runners per age group (in this scenario
each runner would run one lap each).
• Runners can be in any order in
terms of year group and gender.
• Runners in Championship School Relay must have competed
in the individual / teams event.
• Cup awarded to winning school of the
Championship School Relay (at official closing ceremony).
RISK MANAGEMENT
All participants are reminded that they compete at their own risk and absolve
all marshals, helpers and volunteers from any blame or claim. It is your
responsibility to keep on the course. The organizers will manage risk during
the event’s programmed activities. This does not include transport to and
from the venues, leisure activities or accommodation arrangements. Clear
instruction to coaches / team managers will be given about the extent of
the organizers responsibilities at the 11.30am managers meeting.

A letter of entry confirmation will be forwarded to your
school by Friday 4th June 2010.
